Yeyem Organic Bio #00105

The Yeyem coffee with its exceptionally large beans comes from the Maragogipe variety and is cultivated by three producers: Sadler Marin, Salomon Pajarez and Edilberto Quispe. The name “Yeyem” means “friendship” in the Yanesha language and reflects the bond and collaboration between these three producers.

Sadler Marin Garcia inherited the farm from his father, who dedicated his life to growing coffee. The farm is located at the foot of a nature reserve. Edilberto Quispe, who also inherited a farm, is a member of the Israelite Religious Community. The cooperative financed the training of his daughter, who now supports the CEPRO Yanesha cooperative in quality control. Salomon Pajarez, a director of CEPRO Yanesha, has long enjoyed producing with different varieties of coffee plants, but on other people’s fincas. After a lot of hard work, he was finally able to buy his own piece of land a few years ago.

The coffee plants grow at an altitude of 1770 meters. The Yeyem Maragogipe Washed offers a special taste experience with notes of molasses, blackcurrant cake and brown sugar. This complexity reflects the care and skill of the producers who create this unique coffee.
